Elon Musk Announces Paid Subscriptions Will Be Free in X: But There's a Condition

Elon Musk announced that X’s paid subscription packages will be free for some users, but there are some conditions that must be met to obtain this right.

X CEO Elon Musk continues to work to increase interest in the platform. In this context, from now on, some users will be able to use Premium or Premium+ features for free. The important point for this will be the number of verified followers.

Come citizen, come, campaign in Premium

“Going forward, all X accounts with 2,500+ verified subscriber followers will get Premium features, and accounts with 5,000+ followers will get Premium+ for free.”

So how many people will this situation affect? No exact information on this subject is currently known. In Elon Musk’s statements, concepts such as subscriber, follower and subscription are often used interchangeably. If the criterion is people’s subscribers, there are 4 people who can use Premium for free, and another 4 who can use Premium+, and one of these people is Musk himself. On the other hand, if only followers are to be considered, many more people will be able to benefit from this feature.

This situation seems to create more interaction and more following on X. Thus, X can manage to bring back the active users it has lost recently. Considering that the social media platform has recently been trying to make progress in the field of artificial intelligence, it seems that X will push the conditions for more content to be produced and more interaction.
